How to Measure for Custom U-Shaped Sectional Covers
Before you order your custom size cover, you will need to carefully measure the U-shaped sectional it is meant to cover. Our guide below will walk you through the steps to correctly and accurately measure your sectional to ensure you get the best fit. Please note that the left and right sides are from the perspective of when you are facing the sectional.
Widths
Measure the left, right, and center widths of the sectional from side to side.
Depths
Measure from the back of your sectional straight out to the front edge of the seat. For the left and right depths, measure the sides adjacent to the width from the back to the front of the sectional.
Front Heights
Measure from the ground to the top of the sectional arms for the left and right front heights. For the front height, measure from the ground to the top of the seat.
Back Heights
Measure from the ground to the tallest point on the sectional. For the left back height and right back height, measure from the ground to the top of the sectional at either end.
We recommend a cover 1-2 inches shorter than the furniture for breathability. Please round up your dimensions to the nearest inch.
Additional Tips
To provide best fitting cover, we add 1" allowance along the width and 1" allowance along the depth of the cover. If the furniture width is 48" or greater, a 2" allowance is added.
